The Advanced Research API provides research institutions, universities, and healthcare innovators with direct access to raw sensor data from Withings devices, enabling groundbreaking insights and in-depth studies on health and behavior.

3-axis Accelerometer: Withings trackers are equipped with a MEMS accelerometer that samples at 25Hz by default (up to 100Hz), ideal for detailed motion and activity analysis.

PPG Sensor: Withings devices utilize optical techniques to track blood volume changes in the microvascular bed. Depending on the device, you’ll have access to a PPG sensor with either three LEDs (green, red, and infrared) or one LED (green), providing versatile data for cardiovascular research.

Compatible Devices

Currently, the Advanced Research API is compatible exclusively with the Withings ScanWatch.
